Dr. Irene Apata, a board-certified pediatric dentist, was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Maryland. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Stockton University in New Jersey and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Apata practiced as a general dentist until 2017 when she decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry due to her love for working with children and teenagers. She completed a residency in General Practice at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA, and her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Florida. She is excited to start her practice in her community. She belongs to several professional organizations, including the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
